I am sure you already know when it comes to prospecting your Target Market, it has become extremely difficult to get your foot in the door. It’s even a bigger challenge to stay in their good graces.

Because your prospects are over-marketed to, over-sold, and pissed off about it. They’ll slam a phone faster than you can pick it up. Not to mention… deleting your e-mails without even reading them!

So what can you do about? Here are some tips I picked up to help you stand out from everyone else and keep your prospects interest.

1.Value: The art of giving, giving, giving and give some more. Well we all know that providing Value is the bail on the hook. But we aren’t the only ones with fishing lines out. Every where you turn People are giving away free content. Note: This not a stand alone approach.

2.Communicate what others can’t: We all have different personality types and we defiantly don’t all think a like. It maybe easier for you to connect with a person, that I have difficultly relating with. Because we aren’t the Same person. Whatever you do put a little bit of yourself in it. Let your personality, come out in your video’s, blog posts, articles etc.

3.Build Relationships: You need to stop thinking of your Prospect as just prospects. You need to start thinking of them as friends. Very few people get this concept, and they go off and spam on twitter or Facebook, then they wonder why people aren’t joining their business.

4.Stop worry about what people think: Don’t be a cookie cutter marketer. Put your own twist on everything you do. Many Marketers act like clones. They’re afraid to make their own video’s write their own emails, blog post because they’re afraid what people might think or say about it.

5.Give Personality: I hate to say it but there’s way to many bots on social media ie twitter. Too many people using automating programs. Or worse yet people who hiding behind their computer, afraid to open up and be real. Be yourself. Don’t be scared to show people you’re a real person while utilizing social media.

6.Be a Producer: Don’t be afraid to come out with your own Content, that is unique to you. E-books, paid products, news letters, whatever idea’s pop in your head.

7.Contrast: If you really want to stand out from the crowd, watch what other networker are doing and then DON’T DO IT.

Lets be real, there are too many zombies out there. It’s like the blind leading the blind. We all know where they wind up, broke and then eventually quiting. You need to find a leader you can like, know and trust. then you’re welcome to attach yourself at the hip to them.

8.Be wrong: For real, it okay to be wrong. Do the wrong thing, say the wrong thing , even be the wrong thing. There’s so many people who want to be politically correct. That’s it’s become just plain boring. People love controversy. If you’re willing to be someone who doesn’t always have to do the right thing all time. I grantee you will attract a lot of attention.

9.Be right: Okay, so you can get attention if your right….. But only if you’re more right than everyone else. Make your blog post easier to understand. Make you video’s more interesting than everyone else. Say more funny stuff than everyone else. Take pride in your blog and video’s and people will notice.

10.Walk the Talk: I have see so many People out there teaching a concept and not following what they preach. If you want attention do what you say, and say what you mean and walk the talk, baby.

11.The Shock Factor: Do the opposite of what you normally do. Keep people guessing on what you’ll do next. Give strange analogy’s, shocking pictures and surprising content. Don’t be afraid to get all crazy and fun with it. People like unexpected.

12.Don’t give up: There is a quote I like. That explains it better than I can.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” – Calvin Coolidge

You know what, Thomas Edison found a 1,000 ways not to make a light bulb. Not everyone is going to succeed their first time around. It’s the staying in the game, that leads to success.

13.Be Funny: You don’t always have to be so serious or monotone in your video’s, or anything else for that matter. There is life on your planet. Tell jokes, be funny. As marketers we’re so busy trying to give value that we forget to entertain. Then we come off, as Boring. Hey if we aren’t helping people build their businesses, at least we are helping them caught some Z’s. Hello people it’s time to wake up. Humor works every time, why do you think public speakers use it?

14.Be interesting: I have seen Marketers that are like miniature text books; They sound like all-knowing teachers. I know I just covered keeping your prospects awake so they stay on your page. But while your being funny, it wouldn’t hurt to unleash your “inner dork”. You know the part of you that’s so enamored with your topic that everyone else thinks it’s funny… but they pay attention anyway.

15.Put your Prospects first: Care about your prospects wants and needs above your own. I know you’re doing Network Marketing to make money. I know you have bills to pay. But stop making it all about you, and you will see a drastic change in your business.

16.A for effort: Another thing I hate to say, But it must be said….. There are too many people out there that do stuff half A**. Come on people put some heart and feeling into what you’re doing. Give it your all. You will be surprised on how much you stand out.

17.Be Honest: Hey don’t be scared to be honest and stand up for what you believe in. People will respect you for it. Give it to people straight up! Be so honest that you’re scared to click the “Post” button. Be so honest that no one knows what to say in the comments section…. But they are talking about you.

18. Stories Sell, Fact’s Tell: In Network Marketing we have heard this a lot. Yeah… Yeah… I know stories support your points, make solid openers, and teach people while entertaining them. But what no one ever talks about is that stories can make you legends. I am sure you have some real nice stories. But I mean gripping tales that will haunt you forever. Forget about the other stories… Tell me that one.

Trust me, you will stand out.

Well it’s easy to believe that everyone is your target market because they need the product or service you supply. But here is the problem, let’s just say for example that you’re in the health and nutrition industry, everyone needs to be in good health but that doesn’t necessary mean that everyone cares about being in good health.

See the problem, how do you market to someone who doesn’t give a sh** in what you have to offer? You don’t. So instead of marketing to everyone you break it down to specific groups of people.

I’ll show you.

Okay so you’re in the health and nutrition industry and you have several products you offer.

But we are trying to find specific groups of people so we are only going to start with one product.

We pick Nukote Juice (I just made that up right this moment for this example)

1. Make a list of all the problems that Nukote Juice (not a real product) Solves. (This formula also works for business opportunities.)

Helps people lose weight

Helps people regulate blood sugar levels.

Helps people have more energy

2. Make a list of SubMarkets

New Mothers that want to lose weight

Diabetics looking for help regulating their blood sugar.

3. Then can even break it down one more time.

Diabetics who want to lose weight.

4. Now you take your list of Submarkets and you figure out what their Desires and Fears are.

Note: This must be done for each specific group. They all have their own fears and desires.

This Step will help you to be able to come up with a more targeted marketing plan for each group.

I remember 3 years ago I was sitting at a company event watching all the leaders go across stage and receive applause along with their new rank pins. There was a guy would particularity stood out in my mind. We will call him Roy. Roy didn’t stand out to me because we lived in the same state and or because he was a higher rank than me. I remembered him because of what he said.

He spoke of his first encounter with the “company” ( the mlm we were in) At first it was the usually thing, Roy’s neighbor came to him about an opportunity. He turned the neighbor down. Later Roy decided to join the opportunity. (But the neighbor had decided to quit)

Here is where it get interesting………. Still having a desire to join the company Roy. So Roy thought if I am going to join this company I am going to find a top leader in it. So he went online and did a search for that company.

What popped up in the search engines was a guy named Jeff who was a rep for the mlm Roy was searching. Now this is the important part it wasn’t a replicated site that Roy found. (google hates thoose) It was Jeff’s personal website that had the company information on it.

Roy was attracted to Fred and completed to join him because he thought he was a leader within the mlm company he was searching. Why? Because Fred had positioned himself as a leader.

So now your thinking, how I can position myself as a leader?

Well I only know two ways. Your Posture and Providing value.

Posture: Your Red attitude

This one isn’t hard to pull off it you have the income to back it. But if you don’t you have to play the fake it til you make it game.

Providing Value ( Solving problems, through a product, newsletter or blog) teaching people tips, trick and techniques. Giving more than you take.

The transition into an expert/leader

You are automatically viewed as a person in the knowing when you provide helpful information to your target market.

People become attracted to you when they see you have more knowledge on a subject than they do. Your prospects start to view you as a expert in that field because they learned something from you.

Note: being viewed as an expert can be taken away from you as fast as it was given, if you lead people astray and lie about your knowledge.

I would be exposed as a fraud, if I had a guide on how to fly an airplane and I have never flown one before.

Warning don’t go off and give value when you don’t have any idea what your talking about. Do what it takes to learn about your niche market. (subject) educate yourself. I don’t want a doctor operating on me if he hasn’t gone to school for it.

So read the books, go to the workshops, seminars, do your research.

Remember this is your business no one else is responsible for your success.

A dream is the starting point for your goals. It’s where we allow ourselves to create images, ideas or concepts that we would like to have occur in our future. A dream may not always seem realistic or achievable at first, but we are filled with hope and inspiration when we think it’s going to come true … one day .

The process of dreaming up your goals is completely different then actually taking action towards them. In fact, the two activities aren’t even close. It is because these activities are, in essence, so completely different from each other that is the real reason why it is so hard to turn a dream into action, because it is like turning lead into gold.

A goal is created when we decide it is time to move this dream into action!

Setting goals occurs when we make the commitment to making our dream come true and start creating the plan to get us there.

Success or failure as a human being is not a matter of luck, circumstance, fate, or any of the other tiresome old clichés. These are only excuses. The power to achieve the life of your dreams is in your hands-and the first step on your life path toward unlimited success is identifying the specific goals that will make your dreams reality. After all, it’s much easier to get what you want out of life when you know where you’re going. I encourage you to start your journey today!

Step 1. Have a Dream

Step 2. Set a Goal

Step 3. Put it into Action

Step 4. Rep what you Sew

And I didn’t see more than $200 in return. So I spend two grand to get two hundred. Yeah I know I was a real smart at business.

The sad thing is, I am not the only one with this story. But thankfully there’s a solution to this problem. Instead of breaking the bank to get prospects and leads. Your Prospect Pay You, through a funded proposal. A process where you get paid to prospect even when people don’t join your team!

What is a Funded Proposal?

A useful inexpensive (20 to 60 dollars) product that you sell on the front end to help you cover advertising expenses. Through that product (the back end) you plug your “real product or opportunity”.

Why do I need one?

To fund your advertising Campaigns and increase your cash flow, instantly. By selling a retail inexpensive informational product on the front end you take your expenses to $0 and you can even make a profit.

Builds Trust, because you gave them value (something that helped them). It’s easier to sponsor a customer than a stranger. You are giving them value tips, tricks, techniques etc. I don’t mean tell them how wonderful your company. It has to be something they will value.

You build respect because you positioned yourself in the right way… as an expert a leader. By offering them more than a opportunity like everyone else. You stand out from the crowd because you offer a solution to their problem. You offer your help.

Instead of trying to get reps through a bunch of hype that comes and goes. You can build real leaders before they even join your business. By educating them through your product.

Increase your retention rate by getting your new reps into positive cash flow fast. Because then they can also use the funded proposal method and market a low cost product that gives them cash in their pockets right away. Creating confidence and momentum in your team.

Takes your business to a level, that would take you years to achieve on your own. Because you are now able to give an competitive edge on your competition, blowing them out of the water.

Generates you free quality leads. That have already build a relationship with you. Instead of buying cold leads that don’t have a clue who you are. Costing you time and money, with uncertainty of a return.

Who uses the funded proposal?

All the top leaders in the industry. Or should I say the masters of this industry. They don’t do home meeting, cold call or pass out flyers. The top leaders market information that serves as a filter or funnel that pre qualifies their leads while paying for their advertising.

Creating a never ending cycle of free leads and prospects for their networking marketing business.

Okay lets talk about how you’re marketing your business because this is an important subject. 90% of your business survival depends upon marketing. Yeah I know you thought it was the product. You may have the best product on the face of the planet.

But if you don’t have the right marketing, how is anyone going to know that they need your product?

The other day I saw a commercial for a blanket with sleeves, in my a opinion it’s just a glorified robe.

I thought to myself do people really buy those? They must! I found out the guy who invented them was just a college student with an idea. With the right marketing he become came a millionaire.

Does a Airplane pilot do your marketing?

Quick story:

When I was planning for my wedding 7 years ago. I made out a list of people I wanted to invite. My Uncle Vance was on that list. And I couldn’t wait to invite him to my special day.

So I busted open my bank account for $30,000 Printed up 20,000 of the same invitation, hired a pilot to fly over (Dallas Texas) the city my Uncle Vance lives in and drop the invitations all over the city and then I prayed My Uncle Vance would find one.

Just Kidding……..

I put his invitation in an envelope with his address licked a stamp and mailed it with the post office.

For a minute you thought I was nuts.

Well I hate to be the one to tell you this. But that’s exactly how most people market their business.

I don’t mean they hire a pilot to drop their business cards all over the city. Even though they might as well do that. Because their marketing tactics aren’t any better than droping business cards all over town.

Because they fail to recognize their target market. They are still stuck thinking everyone wants their product.

I hate to burst their bubble but that just isn’t the case. It doesn’t matter how amazing and wonderful the product is. Everyone doesn’t want it.

Look at it this way, it’s like you advertising Denture Cream that taste like bubble gum to me. When I haven’t even reached my thirty’s. But I might need it someday so I should buy it now. lol

Oh yeah and people over 60 aren’t your target market either. People who have dentures are your target market.

Then you break it down even more.

People who hate the taste of denture cream.

Break it down one more time

Denture users who like the taste of bubble gum.

Then You Market to them.
